The heart of our solution are Arduino compatible open source PLCs named CONTROLLINO, being produced by an Austrian company with similar name. The CONTROLLINO is an industrialized Arduino-compatible device with open source software.
Tropozond s.r.o. is a Slovak company, being specialized in the development and production of custom designed electronic control units for autonomous systems, like self-service machinery, measuring stations and surveillance solutions.
Our products are based on industry-grade PLC using open source software. In dependance of the use case, the basic control unit can be extended by a touch screen based operator module, a routing and online communication unit and/or a payment collection systems. To integrate specialized sensors and execution devices as well as to optimize the internal electrical and mechanical layout of our products, we do develop and implement project specific PCB assemblies.
By reason we do operate in Slovakia, one of the safest and politically most stable countries in Europe. Slovakia has a strong Electronics & Electrical Components Industry occupying 42000+ employees, which provides the entire range of needed services and supplies for our activity. Operating in the EU in a Euro currency country allows also to limit currency convertibility and transfer restriction risks.
The heart of our solution are Arduino compatible open source PLCs named CONTROLLINO, being produced by an Austrian company with similar name. The CONTROLLINO is an industrialized Arduino-compatible device with open source software.
Different modifications with a huge number of programable Inputs and Outputs, as well with Ethernet and RS485-Interfaces allow to build powerful automation solutions. Integrated relays with the capability to handle up to 250V and 16A minimize the need for external interface hardware.
The CONTROLLINO combines the simplicity and flexibility of the Arduino ecosystem with state of the art protective measures against short circuits, overload and electrostatic discharge. The safety features and, last but not least, the specified environmental conditions are particularly important for industrial use.
As far as our operator module is powered by a Raspberry Pi SBC, complex multilingual GUI may be implemented on regular touch screen panels. Also additional IO devices, such as keypads, printers, smart card readers, fingerprint sensors, audio devices or QR code scanner may be supported for dedicated use cases. For the interworking with the Programable Logic Controller a specific customized API has been developed.
The routing and online communication unit targets more complex autonomous systems with numerous internal subsystems and external communication links. Specialized versions of mini routers allow to directly interconnect wireless modems for all current cellular communication standards. A custom developed communication protocol with external systems optimizes bandwidth usage.
Solutions for self-service machinery may be extended by a payment collection system allowing to accept card payments. The implementation of this functionality is based on unattended POS solutions from leading technology providers, such as INGENICO and WORLDCOM. Hereby the POS interacts with the operator module for payment processing and connects to the routing and online communication unit to interconnect with a bank acquirer.
